Stephen Pople

Stephen Pople was born and brought up in Bristol, England, where he now lives with his family. Having graduated from Oxford University with a degree in physics, he taught physics and science in secondary schools for several years before becoming a full-time author. His publications include Explaining Physics and Complete Physics (both used in Singapore schools), Science to Fourteen, Science to Sixteen, Target Science Physics, Coordinated Science Physics, and the Oxford A-level Physics revision guide. He is co-author of the Oxford Children’s Book of Science, and acts as science consultant for the Oxford Children’s Encyclopedia and other reference works. He has also served as deputy editor of Physics Education, the journal published by the Institute of Physics. In 1996, he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
