Professor Heng Pheng Ann Professor Heng received his B.Sc from the National University of Singapore in 1985. He received his M.Sc (CS), M.Art (Applied Math) and Ph.D. (CS) all from the Indiana University of USA in 1987, 1988, 1992 respectively. He is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong - CUHK. In 1999, he set up the Virtual Reality, Visualization and Imaging Research Centre at CUHK and serves as the Director of the centre. He is also the Director of the CUHK Designated Area of Excellence in Computer Assisted Diagnosis, Treatment and Training in Medicine, established jointly by the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Medicine in 2000. His research interests include virtual reality applications in medicine, scientific visualization, 3D medical imaging, user interface, rendering and modeling, interactive graphics and animation. |
